Nick & Willikins... are English. That's it. That's the entire joke.
Created as a serialized audio comedy/drama on the Sarcastic Voyage podcast in 2010, The Adventures of Nick and Willikins became a loving tribute to all things British by two Anglophilic nerds, Matt Rowbotham and Ron “AAlgar” Watt (who also perform the voices of the wealthy and petulant Nick of Nick Hall and his long-suffering manservant Willikins, respectively). Over the years, Nick and Willikins were joined by a large cast of supporting characters (played by the staggeringly talented Sarcastic Voyage Unpaid Voice Acting Players), and found themselves facing mythical beasts, time travelers and God Himself.
This game, a comedic point-and-click adventure produced by Pinhead Games (Forever Space, the Nick Bounty series), represents an exciting new frontier for the characters as their world is vividly brought to life by artists Meg Casey (Munchkin, Welcome to Showside) and Fred Stresing (Invader Zim [comic], Rocko's Modern Life [comic]). An entirely original adventure (not an adaptation of the audio plays), it was written by Rowbotham and AAlgar, and features voice performances from Sarcastic Voyage's entire stable of voice actors.
The Adventures of Nick and Willikins represents nearly a year of development time. It was built with the Unity engine and is available at no cost for both Windows and OSX.
