The Death and Resurrection of Spock
Offering Himself as a Savior, Spock sacrificed His life on stardate 8130.3. In the aftermath of this event, hundreds of lives were saved, and many more were created as the planet of Genesis came into being.
Spock's living spirit — His katra — lived on within the vessel of McCoy (The Holy Doctor), and was eventually reunited with His body near His birthplace on Vulcan.
To make this happen, James Kirk (The Captain) was forced to lose both his son and the starship that he held dear. He broke many rules to facilitate the resurrection of Spock — and he was forgiven, as all are forgiven who serve in His name.
